Married April 29, 1960 to Charles Allen Edwards. Two children, a daughter, Alaina and a son, Eric.
Former member of Jefferson Avenue Baptist Church, where I taught Sunday School for 47 years including 4-year olds, 6-years olds, Youth department (grades 8-12) and more recently an adult class. I was active in the adult choir, ensemble, hand bells, and was a soloist for many years.
Charles and I moved to Fayetteville in 1995 after living in East Point for 25 years in the same house. He served Jefferson Avenue as the church organist for 47 years and taught private piano and organ lessons during the week.
I took a position with Chick-fil-A in 1989 at their corporate headquarters after working for a number of years with several other companies including Eastern Airlines. The first six years at Chick-fil-A was with the Human Resources department; then transferred to Training and Development where I still hold a full time position as an Executive Administrator. I will celebrate my 20th anniversary with CFA next April.
I have 4 grandchildren (3 boys ages 15, 9 and 4 and one 12 year old granddaughter). My son and his two children live with me and my daughter and her family live in Cumming.
For the past 2 years I have been a member of Harp’s Crossing Baptist Church in Fayetteville. I attend an adult Sunday School and facilitate a Grief Share ministry during the week at the church. Charles passed away in November 2005.
My interests include working in the yard, reading, painting, and other crafts. I enjoy making new acquaintances and traveling when possible.

I remarried 5 years ago after losing my husband of 45 years in 2005. God has blessed us in so many ways. I have 5 grandchildren and my husband Ray Rogerson has 2. My youngest is almost 3 and lives with my son and daughter-in-law next door so we get to be part of his life often. My daughter and her family live in Nashville and her two boys are 20 and 16. We stay very busy mentoring in a Fayette County Elementary school and working in our church. We lived in Brooks on 3 Acres so we spend a lot of time working in the yard. We both enjoy good health and stay busy.
