I worked in Atlanta for the Department of Health, Education and Welfare from the time I graduated (Russell) till 1965 and then with the Federal Aviation Administration in East Point, GA, till 1979, when I moved to Knoxville, TN, and worked for the Air Traffic Control Tower (FAA).  When I first moved to Tennessee, I worked briefly for the Social Security Administration.  After 34 years, I retired from the Federal Government in 1993. In 1994, I divorced and moved to Covington, GA, near one of my sisters, and in 2007 moved to Rutledge, GA.  Now I am working for one of my nieces and her husband, who is a subcontractor for commercial storefronts (glass).

All 11 of my siblings and I went to Russell High School.  My family consisted of 5 brothers and 6 sisters. Three brothers are deceased and my oldest sister Ruth died in 2007. I have a lot of nieces and nephews and now great-nieces and great-nephews. I am very close to some of them
