I have truly had a blessed life since leaving Russell High. I married my high school sweetheart, Jack Beckham ('58) and we will have been married 47 years on May 6. We have four great children and five 1/2 grandchildren ( one is still in the oven) Our oldest Jay (42) is married to Courtnay and they have 2 girls - Alexandria (14) and Juliette (11). Our second son, Kirk (38) is married to Stephanie and they have one son,Seth who will be 10 on our anniversary in May. We have twin daughters Gina and Jennifer (36). My daddy had 7 grandsons and desperately wanted a granddaughter so he went to church one Wednesday night and asked the whole church to pray pink. He got what he prayed for and they have been a true joy. Our sons have been great also. Gina is married to Jason Lemelin and they just had their first child, Baisden born on March 27th. Jennifer is married to Chad Chancellor and they have one girl Haley (5) and one due in September. I'm old enough to be having great grandchildren and am still having grandchildren. They are properly named - GRANDchildren. What fun!
Since high school I have done alot of things, but the most noteworthy is raising my four great kids. I have also been a church pianist, sung in church choirs and taught Sunday School for over 40 years. I currently sing in two choirs at Jonesboro First Baptist- the Celebration Choir and the Senior Choir ( The Glory Singers). I still sew as I did in HS having made most of my girls clothes. I made all of their prom dresses and I made my daughters-in-laws and daughters wedding dresses. Jack and I have traveled quite a bit since his retirement in 95. We 've been to Alaska, New York, Montana and Utah on missionary trips from Jonesboro First Baptist. We've also been to Florida, Wyoming, Tennessee, South Carolina, North Carolina, Kentucky, Texas, Colorado, Virginia,Washington,DC, Maryland, Mississippi, Alabama, Nevada, Canada and Hawaii. All in all I have had a truly great time since leaving Russell , but am looking forward to seeing friends that I spent some of the happiest years of my life with in High School.
